Republican Problem/Food for Thought

In the 2006 State Senate races, 12 of them went without a Republican candidate. That's 25% of all State Senate races in the state of Maryland had no Republican opposition. Here are the districts - 10, 17, 20, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 39, 41, 43, and 47. There has to be at least one Republican in each of these Districts willing to make a run of it in 2010. If the GOP in Maryland wants to be the opposition party to that which is currently in power - then it needs to field candidates in every single race possible.

The only reason we should not have a candidate is if a District is gerrymandered to the point that the District is composed of one person, the incumbent.
